Chapter Twelve

Alyxandra

“Your beauty amazes me every time I gaze upon you my queen!” Kaia announced suddenly.

Alyx looked behind her where Kaia stood taking her own breath away. She gushed as Kaia grabbed her into a soft yet firm embrace. The lingering smell of wild flowers engulfed her.

“Oh please, you look stunning yourself,” Alyx responded awkwardly.

Kaia was dressed in a floor length gown that had two splits up to her hips revealing Kaia’s long firm legs. The gown was lavender in color. Her cool honey skinned shimmered in the light as Kaia looked around Alyx’s loft.

“This is the first time I’ve been in a human’s home.” Kaia said aloud as she made her way to the window and stared down below.

“Far from human nowadays.”

“Oh yes, you’re a full blooded magical creature now Alyx, but you were still raised as a human.”

Alyx sat down on her sofa and patted the seat next to her. “Come sit, you’re making me feel bad that I haven’t worked out in years.”

She joked, but was half serious. The top of the gown Kaia wore stuck to her like glue, outlining every curve of her shapely body.

“I’ve had a vision that I’m not sure how to share with you Alyx, but I feel you should know in case you are developing these feelings,” Kaia began.

“Feelings you say?”

She was starting to feel shy around Kaia. Maybe it was because they were getting so close.

“Okay, maybe I should just tell you that I am here for you no matter what,” Kaia leaned in closer pushing Alyx’s thick mass of curls back behind her ears and placing a quick kiss on her cheek.

Alyx’s hands immediately went to her face. Caressing the spot. The goosebumps on her body became erect as her cool breath tickled her senses. Alyx’s wolf responded to the sweet gesture almost instantly. Taking over Alyx’s mind.

She had learned that the trances she had seen Nola and her aunt Evelyn slip into was a witch’s way of going back into their subconscious. Weaving through possibilities and memories of whatever they desired. Alyx felt herself slipping into that same void.

She found herself standing in a large field with the most strangely fluorescent and oddly shaped flowers she’d ever seen. Straight ahead of her was a large, brown wolf with glowing amber eyes. The wolf jumped and leaped into the air as it ran through the flowers. An overwhelming feeling of joy filled Alyx’s heart. The wolf was playing with something or someone that made it happy.

“Woah,” Alyx said. She could still feel the effects of the vision, and she felt her wolf was pleased.

“I know.”

“Was that the vision you saw? Was there more?” Alyx asked eagerly.

“Yes, there was more.”

“Well, can you show me?”

“Alyx, do you remember what I told you about my visions?” Kaia asked gently.

“Yeah I do, it sounds pretty much like my Aunt Evelyn’s. A version of the future that can happen, but can change also.”

“No. That’s not what I said. That is what you said.” Kaia said firmly.
